New, comments

Carolina bound

James Guillory-USA TODAY Sports

Remember to put your predictions in the comments to this post by the scheduled start time for it to count as an entry in our prediction contest! You can read the full rules on that here, and see the results and all of the entries (might both be a bit behind) here.

Adnan
3-1 Senators
GWG: Erik Karlsson

Hopefully Jared Cowen and Mark Borowiecki are not a pairing any more by the time this game comes around.

Record: 6-7, 6 Points
0 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals

Ary
4-1 Senators
GWG: Shane Prince

The Sens make this a winning week by taking advantage of a meh Canes team that needs 1-2 more years to build themselves back into playoff contention.

Record: 5-8, 6 Points
1 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals

B_T
2-1 Hurricanes
GWG: Jeff Skinner

The Sens always have trouble scoring in Carolina, and I don't think Hammond is up to the shutout tonight.

Record: 6-7, 8 Points
2 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals

Callum
2-0 Senators
GWG: Erik Karlsson

The Senators always seem to have tight, low scoring games with the Hurricanes. It’s so weird. Like the whole Buffalo thing.

Record: 8-5, 10 Points
1 Exact Scores, 1 Game Winning Goals

Ian
5-1 Senators
GWG: Kyle Turris

Sens fill the net on "Point Night" in Carolina and the shutout bid would fall just short on a third period goal by the Canes.

Record: 7-6, 9 Points
1 Exact Scores, 1 Game Winning Goals

nkb
4-3 Senators
GWG: Kyle Turris

Carolina is a good team with questionable goaltending. The 'Canes will be the better team but Ottawa will get solid goalie play and win the day.

Record: 9-4, 10 Points
0 Exact Scores, 1 Game Winning Goals

Richard

No Pick Submitted.

Record: 4-9, 4 Points
0 Exact Scores, 0 Game Winning Goals

Ross
4-2 Hurricanes
GWG: Noah Hanifin

This, like the games against the Devils and Coyotes, is a near-guaranteed win. Therefore, I predict Ottawa to look flat from start to finish. Look for young Hanifin to get his first NHL goal, because why not?

Record: 8-5, 9 Points
0 Exact Scores, 1 Game Winning Goals

Trevor
5-1 Hurricanes
GWG: Jeff Skinner

I'll be honest, I had to look up the Hurricanes roster to see who was on it. Skinner seems like a good candidate to score, and because they aren't a very good team, I'm definitely expecting a terrible loss. Ottawa did this recently vs. the Coyotes, and I wouldn't be surprised to see another poor performance against a non-playoff team.

Record: 7-6, 10 Points
1 Exact Scores, 2 Game Winning Goals
