Before I get to my thoughts, here are the thoughts of someone more relevant on tonight's game. He talks about Erik Karlsson, Bobby Ryan, the power play, the P3 line and what he is looking from Jean-Gabriel Pageau in order for him to make the team.
It's just preseason but I will try to come up with some talking points for tonight.
- Our first chance to see Bobby Ryan in high definition! It will also be Spezza's first game at home since being captain. Playing against the Leafs, he should get used to being booed right? By both sides.
- Erik Karlsson was reported to have looked spectacular in practice. I will be excited to see this with my own eyes. He also has a tattoo of a phoenix on one of his massive arms.
- Craig Anderson will see action for the first time this season. He did all right last season without any exhibition games though right?
- As it is set right now, Prince - Pageau - Petersson sure sounds like Binghamton's first line. Can Pageau play himself onto the NHL team? Prince has always been mentioned as a candidate for the second line winger spot. Does Petersson still have a future at the club? His contract is up and he's almost certainly going back to Sweden if he doesn't some NHL games this year.
