The Senators have Saturday off, coming off a 3-2 loss to the Calgary Flames Friday night.  The Senators travel to Washington for a Sunday afternoon match-up against the Capitals.  Here are some of the Ottawa Senators news making the headlines today:

  • Game recap from last night's loss (Sun and Citizen)
  • In a very strange move, Robin Lehner has been sent back to the AHL to play for the Binghamton Senators today.  He is also expected to come back to the NHL in time to be the backup tomorrow. (Sun)
  • The Ottawa Sun, gathered Ottawa's finest 600 residents and asked them for their grades on the players so far.  The fans seem to really, really dislike Alex Kovalev. (Sun)
  • Meanwhile, Don Brennan is calling for Clouston's head following the decision to start Brian Elliott last night. (Sun)
  • Robin Lehner discusses his success in getting to the NHL at such an early age and he isn't lacking for confidence.  He also seems to appreciate the Senators organisation taking a chance on him. (Citizen)
  • Chris Campoli is expected to be back in the lineup against the Capitals, replacing Brian Lee.  That and the practice lines are here. (Citizen)
