Silver Nuggets: Post victory edition

Well, the Senators won last night. They don't do that too often, in fact they hadn't done it since Boxing Day. But 18 days later, the Sens have a victory. Tonight the Sens take on the Calgary Flames tonight. A victory will see the Sens zoom past the Flames and Leafs, and into the sixth overall draft position. Here are some links about last night's win as well as tonight's game against the Flames:

  • Game review against the Islanders (Sun and Citizen)
  • A few rants by Don Brennan, including the Sens' potential total if this turns into an eleven game run. Also, Robin Lehner is apparently very intense - Cory Clouston would rather he tone it down. (Sun)
  • Similar to Daniel Alfredsson, Jarome Iginla has not given up on the postseason either. (Sun)
  • Chris Campoli is understandably unhappy about being benched. (Citizen)
  • Tonight's prediction panel is a bit more optimistic, with four yays, two nays and an abstention. (Sens Extra)
  • Tonight's game preview (Sens Extra)
  • Elliott gets the start tonight (Ian Mendes)
  • Ian Mendes takes a look at various rebuilding routes. (Sportsnet)
  • Pierre McGuire, Crooklyn Banks' main competitor for the Sens' GM job, talks about the mood around the Senators, potential trade targets on the Ottawa roster and the sub-par numbers from Milan Michalek and Nick Foligno. (The 6th Sens)
  • The Binghamton Senators coach, Kurt Kleinendorst, talks about the Corey Locke call-up. Bobby Butler talks about being selected for the AHL All-Star game. (
