2010 Olympics open thread: Day 12

Excoos me, ooh ah Olympeek shampeyon? Canada certainly isn't the Olympic champions--at least not yet. Going into game 12, the Great White North sits fifth in medal-count with 10 medals (5G, 4S, 1B)--that fifth gold coming last night in the ice dance competition thanks to Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. Another five sets of medals are to be given out today, so Canadian athletes are hoping to add to that total.

The biggest event of the day today are the men's hockey qualification games. Canada's hoping to bounce back after their loss to the United States with Roberto Luongo in net as they take on Germany--they need to win to get a chance at getting a chance to get a chance at a medal. The curling tournament round robin continues today, as well, with two games for Canada's women and one for Canada's men, and the ever-exciting women's ski cross is on, too--featuring five Canadians (in 35 competitors overall).

The full schedule is after the jump, please join us through the day to talk about what's happening on the ice and snow.
