Mark Stone invited to Team Canada Summer Development Camp

Congratulations to Ottawa Senators prospect Mark Stone on his invitation to Team Canada's Summer Development Camp. The Development Camp is the first step for players who are auditioning to join Team Canada at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship. Stone was a 6th round pick of the Senators in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He posted 106 points in 71 games this past season, tying him with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for third in points in the league.

André Petersson Inks One-Year SEL Deal

The Ottawa Senators' fourth-round draft pick in 2008, André Petersson, has signed a one-year deal with HV71 of the SEL. Though Petersson spent the majority of the year with the club's junior team (notching 55 points in 36 games), he did suit up for the big club for 10 games. Petersson is probably best known to North American fans for his play on Sweden's silver medal squad at the World Junior Hockey Championship, where he notched three goals and three assists.
