Per Jeff Marek and Ian Mendes on Twitter, Senators forward Corey Locke has been returned to Binghamton of the American Hockey League. In three games this season, Locke had zero goals and one assist. His .33 per game point percentage currently ranks 10th on the Ottawa Senators.
Ottawa puts David Hale on waivers.— Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) October 5, 2010
TSN's Bob McKenzie reported on Twitter this morning that the Ottawa Senators have put defenceman David Hale on waivers. If he clears waivers, as of right now it is unclear whether Hale will remain in Ottawa or be sent to Binghamton. With Filip Kuba still injured, this would leave the Senators with six defencemen on the roster for opening night: Chris Phillips, Sergei Gonchar, Erik Karlsson, Chris Campoli, Matt Carkner, and Brian Lee. It is also worth noting that the Senators' official site lists both Hale and Derek Smith on the team roster, although D. Smith was sent to the AHL on Saturday.
