Cowen survives first round of cuts

Senators prospect Jared Cowen has survived the first round of cuts to Canada's World Juniors squad. Four players were sent home, including two fellow blueliners. Cowen will play in an exhibition game tonight against a team of university all-stars, and the final round of cuts are expected tomorrow.
