Havelid for Salmella: What it means for Ottawa


The New Jersey Devils traded Anssi Salmela to the Atlanta Thrashers for Niclas Havelid today. From a Senators' perspective, this bodes fairly well. Havelid is not as valuable as Filip Kuba should be on the market, and the Thrashers received a fairly young and fairly promising defenceman (possibly a top-four in the near future).
