After the massive Sabres-Blues deal that went down last night, here's my two cents on the moves I think the Senators should, and could, make.
Vancouver gets gritty, veteran leadership that Torts will love, as well as a cheaper, younger puck-moving defenseman. Ottawa gets tougher defensively.
To Ottawa Senators: Chris Stewart
Again, Ottawa gets tougher defensively and offensively with gifted winger Chris Stewart (acquired by Buffalo in the trade with St. Louis last night), while giving away high scoring prospects Stone and Hoffman.
With these trades, Ottawa solidifies their forward group, and makes their defense look better. Here are the new lines:
