It's D-Day for the Red Squad. Red Leader is making the most important decision of his life- one that will affect everyone member of his squad, as well as his superiors. Should he choose to stay, all is good, and his replacement shall be groomed to be ready to take over next season. If, however, he decides to move on and allow myths to start forming about his time with Red Squad, a solution must be found, fast. And who should the Senior Officers look to for that solution? Why, the current champs and a former friend of course.

Top to bottom, those are Marian Hossa's stats from last season to his first in Chicago. I've also added his playoff totals in the Championship seasons. As you can see, the he's been operating at just under a PPG clip in all 4 seasons, and the playoffs too. He has two rings, and 4 Finals appearances. He would replace a lot of the veteran leadership with Alfie gone, and could definitely put up some good numbers on a second line with Kyle Turris and Zibanejad. Granted, he's got some recovery to do this offseason, what with his postseason injuries and all, but he would be a great addition to our team.
