When we last left our series, Alexei Yashin dominated Kyle Turris and Mike Fisher to become the second line Center on our All Time Team. As always, the updated roster is here. Now we move onto second line Left Wing, and there's most certainly some deserving candidates here. Here's hoping for some lively discussion from you plebes.
Randy Cunneyworth: Helped get the team out of the dark ages, also known as the first 6 seasons of the team's history. Captain and mentor to Daniel Alfredsson, Cunneyworth always put it all out there on the ice.
Milan Michalek: The team's elite scoring winger since Heater left. Speedy, gritty forward who goes to the net hard. 35+ goals on a surgically repaired knee, and it looks like he's found his scoring touch after another surgery. If you didn't see his dirty snipe last night, here it is. Makes the defender look silly with a nice toe drag, then beats Justin Peters high glove side.
Shawn McEachern: One of my favourites growing up, McEachern was one of the guys who would show up just as much in the playoffs as the regular season. Gritty winger, made a solid addition to Mike Fisher's line when they played together.
Peter Schaefer: Took over McEachern's spot, and just didn't do as well. He worked hard, but always left you wanting a little something more.
Vaclav Prospal: Another fan fave, Prospal just would not quit. Loved the guy, not sure if he was quite good enough to make this team though.
Magnus Arvedson: SWEDES!!! Arvedson definitely was not a softy. As a hard nosed forward, Arvedsson spent quite some time in the box. He managed to put up 200+ points and 200+ penalty minutes in almost 400 games with the Senators.
Kaspars Daugavins: My NHL 13 had him as the Senators second line left winger at one point. I thought that was comical. Good luck in Boston, you Latvian son of a bitch.
There you have it. Vote, discuss, and we'll be back tomorrow with the right winger of this line!
