This might be the lightest week we'll see all season, with only 2 games on the schedule. Both opponents are facing Ottawa as part of back-to-backs as well.
Game 24 - Senators at Maple Leafs
Nazem Kadri enters the week on a 4 game point streak, and is the Maple Leafs most productive player by a large margin. James Reimer is back, but his first performance against the NYI wasn't exactly spectacular. Toronto is in Boston the next night, so we might see Ben Scrivens again.
Most of the Leafs success has been on the road. They're 4-5-0 at home... though one of those wins is against the Sens. They've been showing a lack of discipline (they have the 2nd highest PIM/G in the league), but (since they lead the league in majors) a lot of them have been offsetting penalties meaning they have among the lowest times short handed and time on the PK in the league.
Game 25 - Senators at Rangers
Since we last saw the Rangers, they've gone 2-2-0. To end the week, they snapped their 4 game skid against Tampa and put up a shootout win against Buffalo.
The two wins line up with the return of Rick Nash, and he has made his presence felt with a pair of points in each game. The power play has also improved - especially with the two power play goals against Buffalo. With the Rangers in Long Island the night before, it's tough to say if we'll see Henrik Lundqvist or Martin Biron - but I expect it will be Lundqvist.
