Looking at some teams that could be trading some players in the next 2 months, I've found some wingers that I think are worth a look to play on Spezza's wing. I think we all know Michalek isn't coming back next year come so offering him up with a roster player or prospect could be all that is needed.
I'd take a look at Buffalo's Matt Moulson, NY Islanders Michael Grabner, Winnipeg Jet's Devin Setoguchi or Evander Kane (price might be too steep for Kane). Of these 4, I like Moulson and Grabner the best. Moulson because he would add a veteran presence being around the same age as Spezza and has shown he can score goals and set them up. The only scary thing is his UFA at the end of this year. I expect he will be asking for a hefty raise from the 3.13 Mil Avg. he's been getting.
Grabner is more of a risk, at age 26, and no amazing track record, he has a lot to prove but he is very fast.... seriously fast. He also only has a cap hit of 3 Mil, (although actual salary for his last 2 years is 4 Mil, and 5 Mil respectively). Still around the same as Michalek for this year. I haven't really seen him play lately but I think his speed with Spezza's playmaking ability would be highly dangerous.
Or maybe there could be a package deal where we could get a top 4 defenseman as well! Let's hear some trade idea's people. The tame or the insane!
