Can I just post this video and call it a day?

No?

Fine.

The Washington game certainly represents a low point in the season so far for the Flyers, but it's hardly been all up from there. Sure, they've won 2 of 4 games since then - but against Edmonton and New Jersey, while also dropping 2 against Carolina and New Jersey.

Steve Mason is actually having a pretty respectable season. His SV% is 12th in the league, and he's had more games above .940 than below .900. Though with 3 games out of 12 below .900, he's been somewhat inconsistent. But with the back-to-back situation we might get to see Ray Emery instead, fresh off his... oh wait, no, he wasn't suspended.

Scoring has been the real problem for Philly. They're dead last in the league for goals per game, marginally behind Buffalo. The top two individual scorers in the league have combined for more goals than the Flyers. Claude Giroux did finally score though, his first of the season coming against Edmonton.

Also not working? The power play (9.4%), and shots per game (27.8). The penalty kill is a respectable 8th in the league, though, at 85.3%.

Bruins at Senators

Game 19, Friday, November 15th
Previous game
Blue Jackets, Thursday, November 14th
Next game
@Hurricanes, Monday, November 18th
Hot
Torey Krug - 4P (2G, 2A) in last 5 GP
Cold
Milan Lucic - 1P (1G) in last 5 GP

The toughest opponent of the current home stand, Boston is well in the hunt for the division lead... despite their current 4th place standing.

Tuukka Rask is off to a strong start. His .944 SV% is 5th in the league, and by far the best of his career so far. His 1.63 GAA is 4th in the league. Overall, the Bruins are marginally behind (0.01) Colorado for the lowest GA/G. The back-to-back situation does give us a small chance of facing Chad Johnson instead of Rask, but I wouldn't count on it.

David Krejci is having a potential career year too, and is one point shy of a point per game pace. Milan Lucic isn't far behind him, and is also on pace for a career high despite only 1 point in the last 5 games.

Despite that, most of the team's offensive stats are average - G/G, S/G and PP% are all right in the middle of the standings. So far this season the Bruins have looked weaker than in past seasons, but they still haven't shown anything I would consider to be a real weakness - just a few areas that aren't quite as strong anymore.
