Toronto is Toronto, as soon as there's a star player available Luongo, Nash, Ryan, they think they're getting him for Schenn and Kadri. Schenn, however, is not there anymore and I think that's part of the reasons why they are the front runners this time to snag highly coveted puck moving D Justin Schultz.

2. He's Jake better than Norris trophy winner Gardiner best friend and there are rumors that the Ducks organization started falling in disgrace in his eyes when they traded Gardiner along with Joffrey Lupul and a fourth round pick for François Beauchemin from Toronto.

3. Toronto just traded one of their younger and most promising defenceman.

This is pure speculation and I assume I might be wrong on the whole thing.

If we are somehow able to land him, great! If we aren't, I just hope I'm wrong and that he's not going to the Leafs or worst, the Habs.

Schultz signing wherever, then that team packaging Him + other(s) for Bobby Ryan from the ducks.

He would be back with the Ducks and signed under a contract, so basically screwed XD
