Assuming that the asking price is Mika Zibanejad, Nick Foligno and Ben Bishop, Rick Nash would be an absolute steal at this price. Mika is an uproven rookie who I don’t think will be a 30 goal scorer. Nick Foligno is lucky to get 15 goals and Ben Bishop is unproven as a regular NHL goaltender. Rick Nash is a guaranteed 30 goals and could possibly be a 50 goal scorer next to Spezza.

I know he’s got a big cap, but the fact that we could have Nash, Spezza, Alfie, Michlek and Turris in the top 6 is absolutely amazing. I estimate these players would generate 140 goals assuming Nash, Spezza, Michelek can hit 30 and Alfie and Turris can hit 25. With Nash, we’re a cup team. We’ve got the offence, we’ve got the goaltending, one more defenseman and we’ve got the defense. So why again are people against this?

I for one am TOTALLY going to greet Nash with open arms. Of course it really exciting to see these prospects grow, and Mika COULD become like a 50 goals scorer every season and Nash COULD be a 7 million dollar bust BUT, not likely. If Nash means a Cup, im all for it. If Nash even means a chance at a cup, im all for it. If Nash means watching Spezza and Nash eat up goaltenders all season long, im all for it. GET ON THE NASH BOAT PEOPLE, HE’S SICK!
