The Ottawa Senators signed D Fredrik Claesson to a three-year entry-level contract this afternoon. Following an underwhelming season with Djurgarden in the SEL alongside Mr. Mika Zibanejad, Claesson will attend training camp with the Sens this fall and intends to start next season with the Binghamton Senators.
(Need 75 words again? OK!) Stoked. He may take a year or two to develop, but Claesson definitely has the tools to become a solid second pairing defenseman in the NHL. Pack on that man-meat son!
