I think that the B-Sens run to the Calder Cup has been greatly overlooked when analysing the NYR-OTT matchup. The playoffs are all about selling out every shift of every game to be the first team to 16 wins. The B-Sens experience last year will be invaluable in that regard. These guys (Chondra, Greening,OB, Bobby B, Seinfeld, Z.Smith, and Rooster are only 10 months removed from hoisting that cup. I feel like our bottom 6 has a HUGE advantage over NYR if they can get that mentality and work ethic back fast. They know what it is like to sacrifice, they know what it takes to win close games, they know what it is to not give up and they know that no game or series is ever out of reach. They proved it over and over again last year. You look at any team that wins the Stanley Cup and it is the usually the supporting cast that puts that team over the top. Stars will score, goalies will makes saves, but it is the puck diggers, the shot blockers, muckers and grinders working within the team that are the deciding factor. That is why players, not necessarily just the stars, that have won a cup are so valuable at the trade deadline. It is not that that player X has a better skillset than player Y, it is that he knows how to win. The Sens have a mitfull of those right now. The Rangers....not so much.
