Howdy Folks. I didn't know where to put this, so I figured why not a fan post.
Let me start by saying that I am a die hard Blues fan. I've been one ever since my dad introduced me to hockey when I was a kid. Throughout the years, I became more and more a fan of hockey in general and now I love everything about this game. This brings me to goal tending. I have always had an irrational love of goalies. I find they are my favorite layers to root for, and a few years after the lockout when the Blues goal tending situation involved a revolving door because of injuries, I got to see my first glimpse of Ben Bishop. And this is where you folks come in.
I instantly liked him, and I knew he would be an NHL goalie one day. Then the Blues picked up Jaro Halak and Brian Elliot, and now we have arguably the leagues best goal tending tandem. This would mean that Ben Bishop would inevitably be traded. I told myself whoever he went to I would be a fan because I like him that much. When he went to the Senators, it was perfect because I've never really had an Eastern Conference team that I liked a whole lot. Now that I think Bishop has a new home in Ottawa, I plan on rooting for the Senators and their success. I hope to get up to speed with all of the Senators players and start getting involved with Game Day Threads and what have you.
Anyway, thanks for listening (or not) to my long winded rant that basically amounts to Let's Go Sens.
