Game 65: Ottawa Senators @ Boston Bruins

Stay connected for news and updates

The Ottawa Senators will try yet again to beat the Bruins when they visit probably the finest city in America. Ottawa has allowed at least four goals, 19 in total, in the four games against the Bruins. The only change to the lineup will be Zenon Konopka (remember him kids?) playing while Kaspars Daugavins sits.

The forward lines are courtesy of my imagination while the defencemen are from Ian Mendes.

Jim O'Brien - Zenon Konopka - Chris Neil

Robin Lehner (starter)

More after the jump.

Here are some talking points for tonight:

  • Good goaltending against the Bruins: Ottawa hasn't been able to get it in any of the games against Boston this season. Any lingering hopes of winning the division requires a win tonight.
  • Continue to score a lot: The Senators have scored three or more goals in eight consecutive games, in large part due to Erik Karlsson and Jason Spezza.
  • Spezza/Karlsson streaks: Spezza is on a 9-game points streak where he has 20 points. Karlsson is on a 7-game streak where he has 17 points. Karlsson is also on a four-game multipoint streak. If the Senators are to win, both streaks likely will have to be extended.
  • Power play clicking: As mentioned earlier in the day, the power play is 10 for 27 in the last eight games. If tonight gets out of hand, a good power play could be lethal.
  • Corvo/Turris: Will anything stupid happen between these two? The Senators did dress Zenon Konopka in anticipation.
