Alright so this is my first FanPost so bare with me here. In this article I will discuss about my opinions about where Alfie could end up if he decides to go and chase Lord Stanley. What could the Senators receive in return for the veteran? Is there a market for a guy like Alfredsson? We'll see after the jump!

Le'ts admit it, Alfie is not getting younger and he his having a lot of injury problems lately. Assuming he has a good season and proves he can compete, maybe there would be a market for him. Although it is unlikely that the captain will want to be traded but if he does decide to leave, he'd want to leave for a team that is expected to compete for the stanley cup.  So all the trade scenarios i'm about to present need to involve a cup contender and Alfie having a good season. 

Scenario 1: Let's start off with the first team which i think will surely compete for the cup: The San Jose Sharks. In my opinion, I think the sharks need some help on the defense. They did a great job this summer acquiring Brent Burns but i don't think it'll be enough. Enter Filip Kuba. I know, I know... bare with me please. Assuming he has a major bounceback season, maybe the Sharks would be interested in packaging the captain and Mister Kuba for: Ryan Clowe? Joe Pavelski? Logan Couture? It all depends on what kind of season these guys have but i don't think it's asking for too much. Anyway , this trade i think, would be the best-case scenario for the team. What do you guys think? Is one of Ryan Clowe, Joe Pavelski or Logan Couture asking too much for two veterans (who i would ?like to remind you just had very good  seasons)?

Scenario 2: Now i have no idea who they would be willing to give away but the Los Angeles Kings would also be a potential destination for Daniel. They do have a pretty young roster and  they could be interested in adding a bit more experience to the squad.

So there you go. I have a lot more trade scenarios but i'd like to see what you guys think of these two before posting more. I look forward to seeing what you guys think and if i see that you guys are interested i'll post all my trade scenarios for the 2011-2012 season.
