Binghamton's Keller signs with Edmonton
Binghamton Senators captain Ryan Keller has signed a one year two-way deal worth $625,000 with the Edmonton Oilers.
Keller had 10 goals and 15 assists in 23 playoff games, including the Calder Cup-winning goal in game 6. Keller played six games with the Ottawa Senators in 2009-2010 and registered no points.

It’s sad to see Captain Keller leave, but it’s understandable. He spent a couple of years with the Senators and didn’t spend much time in the NHL, so he might as well try out another weak organization and see if his chances of breaking into the big leagues are any better there.
Here’s hoping he manages to break through!

I want to be confused why he didn't get signed
But his NHL numbers are a bit of a ready explanation, and I guess they’re happier with the options we worked through last year.
Best of luck, Keller!
Oh Captain, my Captain!
I think they want his spot in Binghamton to go to a younger prospect with higher upside (Petersson, etc). One of those things where Keller is the better player now than whoever will replace him, but you need to have positions open to foster development.

Totally makes sense
I was thinking he should have gotten a shot at the NHL team, but I understand why they’d let him try somewhere else when we have prospects who’ve proven themselves more.
Oh Captain, my Captain!
Sucks to see him go, but I'm grateful for everything he did with the organization
