Yeah...
I suppose it does start getting fairly arbitrary after the top 6 or 7. Was just interested in seeing where people slotted the new additions.

I'll let you know in before the season
But Lehner and Rundblad aren’t in the top 10!

How can you possibly justify this?

So they won't be in the "top" ten literally speaking
But are among the 10 best prospects in Ottawa, right? Because I’m pretty sure Rundblad is one of the best prospects around the league, and Lehner is among the best goaltending prospects.

Rundblad is top 10 in the league for sure
Lehner might be top 5 for goalies. Winning the cup helps, but let’s not let names like Roy and Price forget that he’ll be 20 next season and has only one full season under his belt.

Lehner didn't even play a full season.
I really don’t want the organization to rush him. Although by all indications it seems Murray wants Lehner to play another season in the AHL.
Not based much on seeing them play, but here's mine:
1. David Rundblad
2. Jared Cowen
3. Mika Zibanejad
4. Robin Lehner
5. Bobby Butler
6. Nikita Filatov

17. Mark Stone
18. Shane Prince
19. Kaspars Daugavins
20. Marcus Sorensen
My list

18. Jim O’Brien
19. Mike Hoffman
20. Kaspars Daugavins
Jim O'Brien
Obviously nobody was as enthused by O’Brien’s year in Bingo last year as I was. He regressed a bit in the playoffs, but he put up good numbers all year. His cup of coffee with the Sens was underwhelming, but I think he’s on the track. I don’t know maybe I’m rating him too highly.
brent
I like him too.
His scoring talent is probably not going to be any more than 20-40 points a season (if even that high). But he brings great hustle and some good defensive play. And a frickin mullet.
I think he's improved his chances
He’s still far behind what was projected when he was drafted, but he’s definitely taken steps in the right direction towards becoming an actual NHL player. He won’t be a top-six guy, in all likelihood, but he should be able to play in the league.

Filativ
It looks like most of you think that Filatov is going to get into the top six. He’ll need an attitude transplant to make that happen.
There’s a reason why we got him for next to nothing.
I hope he turns his life around and stops being such a case. We’ll see.
I'm waiting for his first interview
If he sounds enthused to get a new start in Ottawa, then I think that will go a long way to making him an effective player.

My List
1. Runblad
2. Lehner (possible franchise goalie)
3. Zibanejad
4. Filatov
I think he will work out playing with Spezza, who could be a great linemate and mentor for him. This is could help him get his head on straight. I think his attitude is a big reason for why he didn’t work out in Columbus but, after you see so many players coming out of Columbus without reaching full potential like Klesla, Brule, Zherdev, LeClaire, Picard, Voracek and Filatov you have to start pointing the finger at there development coaches, Hitchcock and previous coaches. It sounds like he has a lot of respect for MacLean from what I heard.
5. Cowen
6. Butler
7. Puempel
8. Noesen
9. Silverberg
11. Da Costa
12. Wiercioch
13. Condra
14. Greening
15. Gryba
16. Petterson
17. Caporusso
18. Prince
19. O’Brien
20. Stone
Notables: Hoffman, Daugavins, Wick, Borowiecki, Wideman, Grant

mon ordre
I will place them in three lists and by order:
NHL-ready (keep a spot on the roster):
1. Filatov – LW ( Filatov is first because our forward positions is not as deep as our defense, he should have a place line 1 or 2 and will get his chance to play with Spezza)
2. Rundblad – D
3. Cowen – D
AHL/Euro/Junior to start:
1. Lehner – G
2. Silverberg – F
3. Zibanejad – F
4. Butler – F
5. Wiercoch – D
The bus riders:
1. Wiercioch
2. Da Costa
3. Greening
4. O’Brien
5. Puempel
6. Noesen
7. Condra
8. Gryba
9. Petterson
10. Stone
11. Hoffman
12. Prince
13. Caporusso
My list
Here’s how I’d put them:
1) David Rundblad
2) Robin Lehner
3) Nikita Filatov
4) Jared Cowen
5) Mika Zibanejad
6) Bobby Butler
7) Jakob Silfverberg
8) Patrick Wiercioch
9) Matt Puempel
10) Louie Caporusso
11) Andre Petersson
12) Jim O’Brien
13) Stefan Noeson
14) Colin Greening
15) Stephane Da Costa
16) Kaspars Daugavins
17) Markus Sörensen
18) Shane Prince
19) Jean-Gabriel Pageau
20) Chris Wideman
To me, they have an excellent prospect depth at forward right now, and I say that as a Habs fan. They’ve taken some shots that I think are potential homeruns in recent drafts, especially with Pageau, Sorensen and Petersson.
I’m happy to provide analysis on the players, but for now I’ll just leave it at the list.
