So Long, Silver Seven
I have been a huge hockey fan since I was a kid. I started out cheering for the Rangers, then the Maple Leafs and Coyotes. The Senators have been my favourite team since 1998, and for the last 13 years I have faithfully cheered for them, despite them seemingly always being the underdog. A couple of years ago, I stumbled upon this site, and have been following regularly and contributing sporadically. The highlight for me was being invited by the Silver Seven head honchos to join a fantasy pool for the first time ever, and finishing a very respectable 4th out of 20, including my shocking 8th-seed upset of 1st-seed STP in the first round of the playoffs!
However, it is time for me to say goodbye, both to you fine folks here and the Ottawa Senators being my #1 team. Saturday morning I will be purchasing season tickets, my basement will slowly change lose the black and gold to be replaced with blue, and I will begin cheering once again for my hometown team. It's about time.
Good luck next year!
- Joel in Winnipeg

Enjoy!
And congratulations on getting your team back, I’m so happy for Winnipeg. :D
Was nice having you here!
An Ottawa Senators supporter in Toronto, Ontario. I am cool like that.
Traitor!
Just kidding. Enjoy your season tickets, and please don’t be a stranger!

Go Jets!
I’m also a Winnipegger and will be picking up the new team to cheer for. Coincidentally, I’ll be moving to Ottawa late June, so I’ll still be cheering for both teams. Funny timing.
The Jets-Sens games are gonna be awesome, dunno which jersey I’ll be wearing. Thankfully they’ll be out in the Northwest division after next year.
Just don't do a Frankenjersey and we'll be cool

Born in Ottawa, raised in Winnipeg.....
…so when the Jets left town, it was an easy transition regarding whom to cheer for next!
Now that we have our team back, I don’t have to travel as often to watch the Sens.
I guess I’ll have to take the chance of being mobbed by fellow Winnipeggers for wearing an Ottawa jersey when Alfie and the boys are in town! It’ll be worth it.
GO JETSENS GO!!

Enjoy the good times!
But just because the Jets are back doesn’t mean you have to abandon us. You’re still very welcome to come around and share your thoughts on what’s going on!

Of course the Sens will still be my #2.
And count me in for that fantasy draft again.
Gear for Jets/Sens games: Jets jersey with a Sens hat and scarf and Moose cape. That’s if I can get tickets. The presale is likely to sell 7,000 season tickets, leaving a mad dash on Saturday at noon CST for the last 6,000!
I don’t think that the new team will change my favorite team, at least not that fast. I intend to go to every ottawa a game in Winnipeg wearing my sens jersey, and I will force my girlfriend to do the same! I love that we have an NHL team back, but the sens have been my favorite team for a long time, and that will not change.
Cheering for your team too
Even though I am a half-crazed Sens fan, that doesn’t stop me from being a new Jets (or whatever) fan as well.
It will be interesting to see who the Jets pick at #7.
Please stick around and give us the inside on what’s going on with our new Canadian team.
