This is my first article let me know how you think it is!

So im a sens fan. a BIIIG ONE and i love following the team.

IMO the senators are closer then we think. they need a couple top six forward witch i believe we can get in the upcoming draft and kabam! we are on the verge of the playoffs. now i know everyone on this site seems to think that greening and condra arnt as good has top 6 or top 9 forwards in some case but i tend to disagree i think they can both do a great job playing in a top 6 role(that being said i wouldnt want them permenantly there) i think they have the upside to be great 3rd like players. and condra i believe could end up being on the second powerplay unit with his great vision. Greening is big strong forward with the sens lack at this point in time, He can also skate like the wind as we found out at the sens skills competition( if im not mistake he beat vermets team record or was close to it) I think both condra and greening have a higher level of potential then people believe. Now a guy like bobby butler IMO can a should be atleast a 30+ goal scorer if the new coach is smart enough to put him on a line with spezza. Now on the defencive side of the puck we have the depest pool of yound d-men in the entire league. leading the way is Erik karlsson (nhl all star) David rundbland (defenceman of the year in the swedish elit league) and jared cowen (world junior silver medalist the last 2 years) along with other less noteable like Gryba, Derek Smith, Wiercioch and even brian lee the way he came on in the later part of the season. Now dont get me wrong we still have alot of work to do before we can say we are a true contender but i think we have alot of pieces to the puzzle already and can add alot at the draft this summer with adding maybe another 1 or even 2 top 6 forwards( sean couturier or Huberdeau would be great!)

Now all that being said id love to have some feedback as to if anyone thinks i am an over optamistic fan or if you really think that it is possible that it could be a shorter re build then we think.
