Senators re-sign Zack Smith and Colin Greening to extensions
Terms of the deal are not yet available but it is a one way contract for both players. Zack Smith gets two years, Colin Greenings gets three years.

Three years for Greening?
Seems a bit long, seeing how he’s still, well, green.
It is going to be good to see him and Z. Smith with the big club regularly, though.
It's probably a cheap deal
Greening really hasn’t proven anything yet, so I can’t see it being more than $700k. I’d wager it will be less.
But he’s big, fast, can hit, and can shoot. If nothing else, he’ll be a good fourth-liner.

Greening seems long, but lets see what the money is like.
On second thought
Greening is perfectly reasonable. You want to convince high achieving college prospects to sign here? Have a reputation for giving them good deals if they prove themselves. People like Butler, Greening, Da Costa all show that we reward young talent and that culture helps recruit new young talent to the roster.
Same reason as why you treat someone like Phillips and Fisher well – convinces veterans that they’ll be treated well if they come here.
