Mark Stone and Wacey Hamilton in WHL playoffs

I got to see the Medicine Hat Tigers and Brandon Wheat Kings in game 4 of the WHL playoffs in Winnipeg and I figured I'd post something about Stone and Hamilton.

I was cheering for the Wheat Kings so I will start with Mark Stone. He played really well this game and picked up two powerplay assists (in reality one was a goal he tipped, but they didn't seem to notice... and I was right behind the net and it hit his stick for sure).  He played every PP and even manned the point for one. His job on the PP was to hang out around the other teams blue line when the puck gets dumped (you can see him doing this in one of the pictures). He also played a fair amount on the PK. Stone ended the night with 2 assists and a -1 but I was impressed. The Wheat Kings blew a 4-1 lead and lost 4-5 with 25 seconds left in the game. It was not Stones fault it was the entire team... they just stopped skating.

Wacey Hamilton was the biggest surprise of the game for me. He is the captain on the Tigers and was noticeable every time he was on the ice. He played every PP and every PK. How nobody noticed him before this year is beyond me. He worked his ass off every single shift and even played well when he was showing obvious signs of being tired. I wish I could find something that mentioned his ice time in this game.

Anyways, I just figured I would let everyone know how these players are doing and I am really excited for both of these players.

I also got a few pictures on my phone (not the greatest pictures). One of them has both Stone and Hamilton:

I would also like to mention one more player. There has been a lot of talk about trading a first round draft pick for a younger player and if it became possible to get this guy I would definitely want the Sens to take a look at getting him. This player is Emerson Etem. Ended the night with 3 points (1G 2A) and was probably the most impressive player there tonight. He played extremely smart defense and was great on the PP and PK. He was also a huge part of the comeback (with Hamilton). It would be difficult to snag a local like Etem from Anaheim, but like I said, if it were a possibility I would be extremely happy to get a player like this for the Senators.
