With their 5-1 win tonight, Edmonton moves 1 point up (and 1 game down) on Ottawa.
We are now in sole occupant of a position we have not seen since the 95-96 season. We'll be there until at least Tuesday, though against New Jersey, it could go longer. Edmonton has a rough week ahead - road games against Philly, Washington, Detroit and Pittsburgh - so I wouldn't count on them adding to their lead on Ottawa.
