Awesome!
Rundblad = Round Leaf.
also pretty cool.
Not sure how I feel about the nickname "Magic Number Seven", though.
It’s just not that catchy.
Oh Captain, my Captain!
GREAT nickname

It's just too long! I can't picture screaming it out at the Palladium.
I’m more likely to just start calling him Round Leaf. Round Leaf Round Leaf Round Leaf!
Oh Captain, my Captain!

I agree, its an AMAZING nickname
This kid is the real deal. he’s a game changer in the SEL, and I hope that translates decently to the NHL.

Very encouraging info’s all around. One shouldn’t forget that the Ottawa brass was also taking a look at Adam Larsson and perhaps Lehtonen.
Just took a look at Skellefteå’s roster and saw that Mikko Lehtonen is producing well for the team. His contact ends this season according to eliteprospects.com. Boston hold his NHL rights, though. You need to trade for him, if Sens management really likes him. Good idea, bad idea? Looking for answers, especially from Henrik.
I love Mikko Lehtonen
Of course, my reasoning is absolutely ridiculous. My old roommate, Geoff, played a lot of NHL 09 a few summers ago as a goalie in Boston’s system. They kept him down in Providence for a couple years, where Mikko Lehtonen was the team’s captain. Mikko had a tendency to take ridiculously bad penalties at the worst time, which led to Geoff calling out his leadership abilities. I claimed that Lehtonen was leading from the box to show the team how they can win without him.
Yeah, so a stupid reason, but every time I hear his name I think of him leading from the box. I’d be down with getting him. I’d love to get Peter Sejna out of Davos as well to complete my video game surprise players of excellence quota filled. Dude’s a secret weapon.

Well…I was onto something. Not Lehtonen was the target.

According to Sportbladet Ottawa should also have special coverage on the elite series points king Joakim Lindstrom.
Skellefteå’s national team forward has made no secret of his longing to return to the NHL next season.
Rough translation of the original article.
Thanks for this....
I am looking forward to the day that Rundblad pulls that #7 Senators jersey on and steps out on the Scotiabank place ice.
Sure sounds like it’ll be later this year, when the 2011-2012 season starts

Ditto. Rebuild aside, it's guys like these that have me excited for next year.
Oh Captain, my Captain!
thats what the rebuild is all about!
We may not have high flying offensive prospects (yet), but with him and Cowen most likely both making the team next year, they should be exciting to watch on our blueline (young mistakes aside)

I'll happily take some mistakes if they're hilarious Lehner-shoving-Poulin mistakes!
Oh Captain, my Captain!
Yeah I love the part about Dorion saying he is already ready for Ottawa
Can’t wait to see him!
Trying to be Erik Karlsson's agent since October, 2010.
SEL stats?
I seem to recall hearing that the SEL doesn’t count the second assist. If this is true, Rundblad’s 31 assists in 49 games is that much more impressive.
Regardless, it’s amazing that he’s third in overall league scoring. I’m not surprised Dorion’s so high on him. Exciting!
Taking your time to come to the pros
For me, this really illustrates the benefits that a lot of guys get from not rushing straight to the NHL. Rundblad is going to come into camp next fall with lots of confidence and polish. He might take a little while to adapt to the North American game, but that process is going to be a lot faster for him as a more mature and successful 21-year old than it would have been for as a tentative 19-year old. Some guys like Karlsson are exceptions, but for most prospects a year or two of development before jumping into the NHL is gold.
Silfverberg
I’d like to know more about this guy. Dorion thinks he has a good chance of coming over to North America next year and maybe be in the Sens line-up before the end of the season. His stats have been improving every season in Sweden, so hopefully he has lots of room to keep improving when he gets here. From the little I have seen he reminds me a little of Peter Regin.
I feel like he is a little bigger than Regin
and has a nice big shot. but ya, I see them comparing similarly

Future 2nd liner?
Maybe he and Regin could be the basis of a decent two-way second line in the future. Just need to add a Dustin Penner-type guy for some grit and offensive spark.
