Deadline standards set?

Beauchemin for a first round defense prospect Jake Gardiner and Joffrey Lupul. I think this was a fantastic trade for the Leafs and may set the bar for a guy like Phillips(ie, in cap hit, slightly more physical, a little less offensive, but overall similar). Gardiner appears to be a fantastic offensive prospect with loads of talent and potential and was 17th overall in 2008. Won gold with Sweden in World Jrs in 2010. Has 30 pts in 30 games (albeit in NCAA). Joffrey Lupul is a gamble based on his crazy year + of injuries/blood infection, but if healthy he also has loads of talent and never really had a chance to peak in terms of production. At just over 4m/year and 2 more years on his contract, he has the opportunity to make his money well worth it if he can round back into form by the end of the summer (or possibly by the end of this season).

Does this set the precedent for the value of Phillips and other potential deadline offloads? Does Phillips' value increase above what we previously thought based on this precedent?
