Peter Regin out indefinitely with shoulder injury
Peter Regin has injured his shoulder yet again, and is out indefinitely. The injury may require surgery, which would almost certainly end his season.
With Winchester and Michalek still out with injuries, the Senators will play 11 forwards and 7 defensemen tonight.

I know Michalek will likely be back just after Christmas...
But who’s next on the depth-chart in terms of a call-up from Bingo? Will we see Da Costa again, or perhaps another winger?
We might just use seven D until the end of the season
I’d be a little surprised if the Sens called up any Bingo guys, since they’re all already on their break.

Poor Regin!! He can't catch a break! (no pun intended)
I hope he has a successful recovery so he can have his chance to play consistently.

Terrible news for the kid
I hope he opts for surgery, and then signs a two-way deal in the off-season.

I’d like to see him stay in the organization. He’s very talented and a good two way player when healthy — he’s just had a seriously hard time staying healthy the last season and a half.

Me too
He’s shown too much good to be allowed to walk away. But I do wonder what’ll happen next season.

I imagine that, because of his injury problems, the Sens could sign him at under $1M on a one-year contract — he won’t have many other options.

Same here
It would suck to give up on his promise just because he’s struggled through injuries early in his career.

Super Forward Brian Lee
Does this mean we’ll see Brian Lee, super forward, make an appearance tonight?
I feel for Regin but at the same time I wonder if he has rushed back twice now because he’s worried about losing his job?
I have the same question myself
It’s certainly easy to see the motivation for him to rush back.

Brian Lee. "SUPER FORWARD". I like how that rolls off the tongue.
Like “Wile E. Coyote. SUPER GENIUS.”

Hoooonk hoooonk honk honk hooooonk
That's the sound the train horn makes
Suck it, Toronto
11 forwards
does this mean Butler wont play? even though they are down 3 men??
Butler's playing
But the Sens are out 3 forwards, which means that even with Butler, there’s only 11 forwards still in the lineup.

injuries
unfortunately -both Michalek and Regin especially are becoming classic "hurt way more than they play " type of guys…Regin should play soccer or in all seriousness-go back to europe and find less physical hockey. He just cannot make it through the grind of the NHL physicality-there is no question.
I don't think it's fair to label Michalek like that
His concussion is completely unrelated to his knee injuries. And no amount of conditioning can prevent a concussion.

what if you play those Brain Age games on DS? BRAIN TRAINING PREVENTS CONCUSSIONS.

Regin's Spot Next Year
Looking forward to the next season, Regin must feel pretty uncomfortable right now. Zibanejad, Noesen, Puempel, Prince, Silfverberg, Filly, Turris and Petersson will all be one year older. Is there room for Regin on the second line next season? I know they’re not all centers but that’s a lot of players fighting for a second line spot at training camp next year. Also, yes, a lot of them will spend another year in jrs but dang that’s a lot of talent coming down the pipe for Ottawa. Feels good.
Sad face :.(
I followed the Sens before Regin, but Im from Denmark and used to live in Herning, so obviously, Regin is my favourite Sens player. I was extremely happy when he did well in the Play-offs against the Pengiuns a few years back, and I hoped that he would amount to something great.
Its to bad for him, he has lots of talent, I think he could be a good player… Shoulder injuries suck and Its far from certain that surgery will solve anything that training cant.
