Prospect Patrick Wiercioch Hit In Throat With Puck
There was a scary scene in tonight's match up between the Binghamton Senators and the Norfolk Admirals when Patrick Wiercioch was struck in the throat by a puck.
Wiercioch left the game and, at the time of writing, remains at the hospital. The B-Sens have released a statement saying that he is resting peacefully and being evaluated. The B-Sens have called up defenseman Mike Ratchuk from the ECHL's Elmira Jackets.
Best wishes to Wiercioch on a speedy and full recovery.

Yikes!
Hope he’s OK
Hockey would be a lot safer if they used a sponge puck.
Stable condition...
Really scary. He was on a breathing machine last night, hopefully everything is going to be okay.
Sometimes I forget how dangerous this sport can be.
That’s an incredibly scary thing. Praying for the poor guy…

That's just nutty
I’m with everyone else here in hoping he’s fine.
