Two quick thoughts on Canucks-Oilers
1. Martin Gerber was perfect in his half of the game.
2. Peter Schaefer scored a shorthanded goal and was the game's second star, and the only Canuck to earn one.

I didn't feel Schaefer deserved second star
Gerber did.
Silver Seven: the Daniel Alfredsson of Ottawa Senators blogs.
He would've been had he played more than half the game.
Did you see Dubnyk get his stick caught in the net about 30 seconds before Schaefer scored?
Ben Ondrus has 0 goals and 2 assists in 52 NHL games. He had a goal and an assist last night. He’s like Brandon Bochenski: Preseason Hero.

I always said that Gerber was a great goalie.
He just doesn’t have the mental make-up to excel in high pressure situations/markets.
Watch him be one of the AHL’s best goalies while playing in OKLAHOMA CITY (See, it’s not just the NHL that goes into useless markets!)
