It's great fun playing shinny. I wonder who besides Phillips will play defence this year. Our goaltending will only be as good as the D is. Yes, Gonchar is an exciting addition. Yes, Karlsson is maturing... but I worry about all the inevitable 2 on 1`'s and 3 on 1's coming the other way with the goaltending we have. 

Cowen's defensive play yesterday was a breath of fresh air, and he better hurry up and mature fast while there is still a goalie around to protect. I love this Eric Gryba also. He looks like the real deal. He's big and unafraid to do give some A-Train type hitting out there.

Time will tell if we can outgun everyone or not. That kind of master plan usually does not work in the playoffs, so I hope we get it together to play some D by then.
