Which team gets the Kovalchuk punishment picks anyways? In the grand scheme of things, do these picks go into some kind of a compensatory pick reservoir?
Bravo that the NHL is punishing the contract nonsense. This is a kick in the ass for lawyers who are paid big dollars to find loopholes so teams can try to manoeuvre around the rules and cheat. Now GMs will think twice before they try to skate around the cap.
Personally, I was cheering for Kovalchuk to end up playing with Jagr and Brendon Bell up in Siberia.
