Kurt Kleinendorst named new coach of Binghamton Senators
Kurt Kleinendorst spent the last season as the head coach of the USA Hockey National Team Development Program’s under-18 team, where he won the gold at the IIHF U-18 World Hockey Championship in Belarus. He also has an awesome name!

That is an awesome name
I’m happy it’s someone who’s got experience with young, developing players, because that’s what most of the B-Sens are these days. It will be good to have a coach who’s suited to helping kids take the next step.

Obviously a fourth liner and that's good
Taking a wild swing at his career, this is a guy that spent time on the bench and that’s a good thing. The best NHL coaches were never guy’s that were first and second line people, like Gretzky for instance. Guys that spend time on the bench learn from observing what the coach does and how he makes his in-game adjustments. He has as Peter says in the first post, experience developing players.
