I’m still waiting for the Dallas Stars to rock the Cleveland Barons sweaters, or the Oakland Seals, for that matter.

don't know much about graphic design
But I still can’t find a better example of ingenious use of white space (on the home jerseys).
Nowadays (or at least ten years ago), you couldn’t swing a dead cat without hitting some new logo that invarably featured some crazed beast smashing its way through the rest of the logo.
Give me the 1970’s simple, classic design themes, anyday.

They’re awesome jerseys. Awesome team. I don’t have much hope for a team returning to Hartford (and I’m not sure I’d be in favour if it was proposed), but the Whalers were awesome. I have a jersey in my closet, and I need to get Francis on the back.
(Ron Francis is one of my all-time favourite players. Definitely my all-time favourite non-Senator. The more you know… )

Speaking of ....
Does anyone have any suggestions for a name I could put on my original all-black Sens road jersey?
I have always leaned towards Turgeon, but just never got around to doing it. Also, where’s the best place in town to get this done?

Syl's a nice call
But if your not going with Alfie, the 2 biggest beauties from the early years IMO are Norm Maciver and Steve Duchesne. Both played relatively few years with the club, but both also left an indelible mark on the young team, for obvious reasons.
Cannot play with 'em, cannot win with 'em, cannot coach with 'em. Cant do it.
Alfie and Duchesne are always great choices
But I’m not sure if either of them ever wore the uber-black sweaters. I’d have to look it up.
Point is, Wyshynski makes fun of me enough that I don’t need to open myself up for his catty fashion faux-pas disses. I can just picture him now, in between tweets about what the National Enquirer wrote about Fisherwood, and his latest Where’s Beiber article, gleefully raking me over the coals for my choice:
“Can you believe he wore that? I would never be caught dead wearing all-black with an Alfredsson accessory. How gauche.”

I'll make sure to get it right
Before heading out to the jersey store. I’d hate to be accused of rooting for Richard Dean Anderson.
