Whose sweater was Clive Doucet presenting to Eager? He claimed he wore it while skating at Brentwood Park six months ago, so would it be fair to assume that it was a Ben Eager jersey, and that maybe Doucet was just stretching the truth as a bit of politiking?

Interesting that Doucet got to speak after Mayor Larry. I wonder who determined that order.

Anyway, the whole “I was skating in this very park” bit should be good for a few votes for future mayor Doucet. Larry should have done better than just some crappy coin. That guy holds his keys to the city closer to his chest than Alfie wears his ‘C’

Not to mention avoids a paycut, signing with the Thrashers for the exact same coin he made last season.

Thrashers not that impressive

I thought the Thrashers had improved tremendously but this will not be the case as they have little offense really. The additions from Chicago are for show with little production coming in a top six forward. They might even have to pend on a bench warmer to meet the salary cap bottom.
Thanks for the compliment. It was the closest I have ever gotten to the cup. I was a little disappointed by the lack of people though. Eager did score a nice game winner to earn that cup.
