Silver Nuggets: Line up stays the same for Game Six
Here are some stories to read while you wait for the puck to drop on Game Six:
- In an unsurprising move, there are no changes to the line up tonight. Pascal Leclaire starts in net, while Shean Donovan starts on the fourth line. (Sens Twitter)
- An interesting look at the dehydration caused by marathon NHL playoff games, like the one we witnessed Thursday night. (Globe & Mail)
- An encouraging stat: Ottawa has won three straight game sixes. A discouraging stat -- they were all in 2003 or 2004, which makes it completely irrelevant. (Mendes)
- Don Brennan considers the morning after the 4-3 triple-OT win to be "the greatest morning in franchise history." And people say hockey fans have short memories? (Sun)
- The Citizen disagrees, placing it fifth on a list of the biggest playoff games in Sens' history (Citizen)
- Puck Prospectus has a list of the top 100 NHL prospects, and three Senators make the list: Patrick Wiercioch (17), Jared Cowen (63), Robin Lehner (76). (Puck Prospectus)
- Some terrible news to report, too -- a man in South Fayette, Pennsylvania has allegedly killed his wife after an argument caused by the triple-overtime game between the Senators and Penguins. (National Post)

Shouldn't we wait until after the playoffs
to start listing what the biggest playoff games in Sens’ history are? I mean, if we come back to win the series and then win The Cup…well, you have to think it would be considered first or second.
The importance of that game is completely without perspective at the moment.
Galactus does as he pleases. Because Galactus is drunk.
I have a five-tool player in my pants.
ACTUALLY, advanced metrics show that that wasn't "premature".

Also...
“Wiercioch has a great amount of NHL potential and could turn into one of the league’s deadliest powerplay quarterbacks.”

That amazes me
I didn’t realize he was that highly-touted. But I’m glad to hear it.

Who else is going to the game tonight?!
I’ll be the dude in the white jersey and the green cast in section 312.
I am...
I’ll be in section 307, with my 3rd jersey (Alfredsson).

Silver Seven: the Daniel Alfredsson of Ottawa Senators blogs.
Hell yeah.
One of the best things I ever took away from my sports psychology class is that there is always a way to win, even against a superior opponent, but it requires strict adherence to a calculated plan.
We’re going to win tonight.

This.
I hold out hope until the last second ticks off the clock. We’re a strong team. If the good Senators show up we could absolutely steamroll through these next two games.
No, actually I can't get enough of Spezza's nerdy laugh.
Also Good Leclaire
Woo!
