They have a pretty comprehensive list there
I can’t think of anything to add
Silver Seven - The Daniel Alfredsson of Ottawa Senators Blogs
Surely winning an Olympic gold medal is something to mention
And I’d add his gutsy performance in game 5 of the cup finals when he scored two in a losing cause to the list. Especially his short-handed roof job on Giguere directly after the deflating Chris “Steve Smith” Phillips fiasco. The rest of the team had already collapsed, and yet it was non other than Alfie who went down with a fight.
Oh yeah,
And if the Sundin stick incident is up for consideration, then Alfie’s slapshot at Neidermayer as time expired should be too. Controversial, yes. But it’s so oft-imitated in NHL 10 after-the-whistle situations that I can’t get it out of my head. Perhaps lumping in all of Alfie’s controversial moments into one would sum up that side of him nicely!
that leafs sweep
The moment that always strikes me about alfie was after the brutal first round sweep by the leafs in 2001, when he came out into the hallway outside the dressing room after the game to do interviews. He looked like he just wanted to crawl away and die, but he stood there, alone, shielding his teammates from unanswerable questions after their worst defeat ever. I thought that was about the most remarkable display of leadership I had ever seen.
We're pretty lucky to have had him for his whole career so far

Those kinds of moments have been few and far between, and I think that's a shame
Alfie always leads on the ice, but usually leaves the tough questions off it for guys like Fisher and Neil to answer. Guess that’s just his style, though it’s hard to know what he’s thinking sometimes.
Cannot play with 'em, cannot win with 'em, cannot coach with 'em. Cant do it.
