David Hale clears waivers
As was the case with Brian Lee, David Hale cleared waivers this morning. Hale will presumably be shipped off to Binghamton (UPDATE: Hale to Binghamton confirmed), providing some much needed cap space in Ottawa.

Wiercioch is only 20 so hopefully he can turn things around. I never thought he would be doing as badly as he has in the AHL — not good. I am wondering if he might be even ECHL bound if he doesnt turn things around.
He will turn things around, definitely.
He’s a very, very talented player, but he clearly needs some time to adjust to the difference in skill/size between NCAA and AHL.

So, there are six d on the big club including Lee. Can they even play Lee now that he"s cleared waivers?
There are seven D including Lee.
Gonchar, Kuba, Phillips, Karlsson, Campoli, Carkner, and Lee.
But to answer your question, yes, they could still play Lee even though he’s cleared waivers. Doesn’t really matter.
