Game 77: Senators @ Bruins
Ottawa Senators at Boston Bruins, Apr 2, 2009 7:00 PM EDT
Well, the bad news is that the Bruins are leading the Eastern Conference, and that the Sens have virtually no chance at making the playoffs.
But the good news is that consistent Sens killers Marco Sturm and Phil Kessel are both out, so the Sens should at least do alright.
I'm not going to lie, as soon as the season is over, I'll probably cheer for the Bruins in the playoffs. Especially if the unfortunate happens, and the Habs make the playoffs and play Boston. Then I hope Milan Lucic fights and injures Mike Komisarek again. I wish the real life Ottawa Senators could acquire Lucic like my NHL 2K9 Ottawa Senators did.
But I digress. For now, to hell with the Bruins. Go Sens go! Score a hat trick, Jason Spezza. Shut those Over The Edgers right up.
Game starts at seven, game thread starts at five.

So, because I was reading through the 05 draft not 30 minutes ago; bigger regret:
1. Letting Chara go.
2. Drafting Brian Lee over Anze Kopitar
I would have scored that Chara fight the other night a draw. Chara landed a lot of punches but Artyukin got the take down.

I think we can find some common ground there.

A B’s-Habs playoff series would be fun, but for some reason that matchup scares me. After the way that the Bruins have beat the Canadiens in the regular season, the Habs have a little extra to play for.

No Habs No!
The Habs can’t compete with the Bruins in a series. Just need Lucic to hammer Kovalev once or twice and he’ll clock out.

Well, that'll have to do.
It’s what C.C. was drawing up on the late-game time out.
