Being without our #1 center gives us time to reflect. The Clouston Factor is beginning to influence Spezza's game and if it takes a year for him to learn to play D as well as being a major part of the offence, then it will have been worth it. In the meantime, Spezza is not like alot of other good players. He needs his wingers to make him great, (not the other way around) because he sees himself as a playmaker, not a gunner. So my theory is that until the Sens get him a right winger, we'll wait for this team to be a contender. Alfy you say??? NO!!! Fisher needs Alfy. Kovalev was a bad choice because he is a puck possession perimeter guy, not a go-for-the-net type. I still haven't recovered from the shock to see Kovi charge the net for the first time in his life and score last week. The trouble is that Kovi and Cheechoo have sucked up all of the cap space we so desperately need to get someone who can compliment Spezza. GIve Kovi back to the Habs for draft picks plus potential. What little heart he has is still in Montreal anyways!!!
