It's quite the thing that the people who make and / or police the NHL rules watch as the players get bigger and the equipment like shoulder pads and elbow pads gets more lethal, and they do nothing... and now they wonder why there are so many injuries. You put those pads on guys who are 6' 7" tall and weigh 250 pounds and it's amazing that no one gets killed. And as an aside, I wonder if anyone ever did a study to see if there is any relationship between the size of a player and how injury-prone he is.
