The place to REALLY build a winning team is by developing your quality draft picks into top line players. Losers like the Leafs give away their future for one player and never get enough to offset the lack of talent coming up thru the system. I like what Mark Parisi said about the new Dmen coming up  thru the system and next year we will be better. If we had been awake at the draft table and we had picked Kopitar instead of Lee a few years ago like I wanted so badly, this would now be an incredible team. I hate when we trade away draft picks for rental players.
