Zubov expects release, will go to KHL
According to Binghamton Senators beat writer Michael Sharp, Senators prospect Ilya Zubov was told by his agent that he's poised to be released from the Senators organization, and will return to Russia to play for Salavat Yulayev Ufa of the Kontinental Hockey League. He seemed pretty good about it, though: "Nothing wrong. I just don't want to be in [the AHL] anymore. Two years for me, it's enough [...] I just want to say thanks to Ottawa. The organization gave me a good chance to play, and it was a good two years."
